SLAVE EXODUS

by

Jennifer Jane Pope

The follow-up to Slave Genesis and due to be released in the UK in December 2000.

Whilst the outside world thinks she has died in a tragic accident, Detective Sergeant Alex Gregory is very much alive, trapped inside a cloned body, a genetically modified android form (Jenny Ann).

Beautiful, desirable, her sex drive and pain thresholds controlled electronically, Alex is now just one of a steadily growing group of similar sex slaves on the two Shetland islands owned by the mysterious aliens who run the outwardly respectable Healthglow corporation and they are about to step up "production" in order to be able to supply a steady stream of human pony girl slaves to a South American drug baron.

Meanwhile, Alex's former colleague, now acting Detective Sergeant Tim "Geordie" Walker, has begun investigating certain anomalies concerning the corporation, especially as one of their richest clients, Andrew Lachan, has died in a somewhat suspicious boating accident. In reality, the poor fellow is now also on the islands, inside a female Jenny-Ann body that is the twin of the one he so desired, Jess the pony girl.

Geordie and another former colleague, Detective Constable Colin Turner, who is attached to a special squad dealing with potential threats and problems to the rich and famous, track down another of Healthglow's regular clients, the slightly unusual Celia Butler, who runs a very discreet "stables and tack" service for discerning pony lovers - human pony lovers.

Recruiting the unexpected assistance of the gorgeous Sarah Llewellyn-Smith, the late Andrew Lachan's secretary, Geordie decides to visit Celia establishment under cover, but soon they both find themselves under something that covers very little at all. If you enjoyed Slave Exodus - and several of you have written to say how much you did - then you'll love this and the good news is that Nexus have already commissioned a third book in the series, to be published as Slave Revelations in the spring of 2001.

In the following extract, Alex is confronted by the former fisherman, Tommy MacIntyre, who is understandably feeling sorry for himself - or should that now be herself and then Amaarini, one of the alien leaders, is discussing the situation with Boolik, the head of the islands security force.

`Alex, why won't you call me by my real name?' Tammy looked as distressed and confused as she perpetually did. Alex looked across their joint stall and smiled at her.

`I'm sorry,' she said, shaking her head, `but it's not easy thinking of you as a Tommy.' Tommy/Tammy stamped one steel shod hoof boot on the stone floor and Alex would not have been surprised if the action had produced a shower of sparks.

`No harder than it is for me to think of you in a bloody police uniform,' Tammy snapped, sullenly. Alex snorted.

`There's a slight difference,' she said and immediately wished she hadn't. Tammy stiffened, but her attempt at defiance was somewhat spoiled by the way her changing attitude forced her already prominent breasts to thrust out even further.

`Look ... Tommy,' Alex said, soothingly, `we have to face a few facts here, whether we like it or not. Number one, we can't turn the clock back, so, what we see is what we get. Number two, right now we seem to have little option other than to go along with these weirdoes, no matter how appalling that might seem.

`I don't know about you, but I have this survival instinct. Live to fight another day, and all that. Which is what, I suspect, we might not do if we try to put too many noses out of joint.'

`But why should they kill us?' Tammy whined, plaintively. The poor former fisherman was losing it by the day, Alex realised, but then that was hardly to be wondered at.

`Why shouldn't they?' she returned. She took a couple of steps forward, raising a useless, leather mitted hand and placing it on her companion's shoulder. `Listen, Tammy - I mean, Tommy - they made these bodies they've given us. They appear to have made the bodies of several of our fellow stable mates, including that Jessie, so presumably they can make more and, presumably, at will.

`From what I've gathered so far, all they need are personalities to put into these bodies and so far they don't seem to have suffered much of a shortage. Some of their subjects - especially Jess - seem grateful for what's been done to them, so grateful that they'll do anything and everything they're told.

`So, why should they go out of their way to keep a couple of rebels, eh?' Alex added. `If we give them a hard time, then we know what will happen eventually. They'll use the whips and turn down our pain thresholds so it really bloody hurts. I've already had one demonstration of that, same as you have.

`So, we'll either end up giving in the hard way, or, if we can find a way to bear it - and I can't see myself putting up with too much of that - then they'll simply switch us off altogether. That Kelly girl told me they can reuse the bodies anyway.'

`Very bloody eco-friendly,' Tammy snarled. She raised her eyes, glaring at Alex. `Well, they can do what they bloody want to me, I - '

`Exactly!' Alex snapped, cutting Tammy short in mid sentence. `That's exactly what they can do, Tammy. I mean, look what they've done already!'

`And so we give in, do we?'

`No.' Alex paused, breathing in deeply, or as deeply as the tight corset girth allowed. `No,' she said, more quietly, `we don't give in. We may let them think that's what we're doing, but we definitely don't give in. Okay, we go with whatever they expect of us, no matter how distasteful that might be, but underneath we don't forget who or what we are.

`We wait, Tammy.' She half turned away, pursing her lips. `We wait, we watch and we learn.'

`And then what?'

`I don't know,' Alex replied, her voice a hoarse whisper. `Right now, I don't know. But,' she went on, nodding slowly, `I do know that no plan is flawless and no person perfect. There'll be mistakes made, chances to be taken.

`And when the time comes, my beautiful little friend, it won't matter whether you're male or female, fish or foul. We'll be ready to take advantage.'

`Yeah?' Tammy sighed, her splendid breasts rising and falling. `You really think so?'

`I have to,' Alex said. `I have to, otherwise I'd go fucking mad.'

Like the rest of the bastards here, she added, under her breath.

Amaarini Savanijuik stood before the bank of monitors, one gloved hand stroking her jaw absently. Tall, even without the additional height of her gleaming, thigh length boots, hair piled high to enhance the effect, she had a presence that would have commanded any gathering, even without the skin tight rubbery outfit and tightly laced corset that was now her habitual uniform.

Without turning away from the rows of screens, she spoke.

`Fascinating, Boolik,' she said, her full lips twitching slightly. `Quite fascinating, don't you think?' The taller of her two male companions gave a slight shrug of his broad shoulders, his reptilian features twisting into a grimace. Boolik Gothar, head of security on both Carigillie Craig and Ailsa Ness was a man who dealt solely in practicalities and the finer points of what went on, especially here beneath the soil of the smaller island, Ailsa, frequently escaped him.

`If you say so, Amaarini,' he grunted. `Personally, I find all humans to be very pathetic creatures indeed.'

`Of course you do,' Amaarini said, barely suppressing a laugh. `You, Boolik, are a very uncomplicated being, which is why you are so good at what you do. However,' she added, maliciously, `that has not, I note, prevented you from mating with the odd human?'

`At your suggestion,' Boolik snapped, though there was something too protesting about his tone.

`Of course,' Amaarini said, placatingly. `All in the line of your duty, as we all appreciate. Tell me,' she added, `what would your reaction be if I requested that you go down to the stables and mate with this human.' She jabbed a finger at the screen, indicating the passive figure of one of the two pony girls currently tethered just outside the stable they shared. Boolik shrugged again.

`What reaction would you expect?' he replied. `She is no different from any of the others.'

`Except that "she" was a male in her original, human form,' Amaarini drawled.

`And?' Boolik said, quietly. `Is that supposed to worry me?' He turned away, paced across the room and turned back again. `These creatures are just that,' he said. `They are creatures, created down in the laboratories, created in a form that is slightly more exaggerated than the body in which they were originally born. Created, I might add, to appeal to the human visitors on whom our colony largely depends for finance.

`Outwardly, these humans, either in their original form, or as the good doctor's Jenny-Anne's, are not so different from us, Amaarini, but that is where it ends. They are otherwise inferior to us in every way and, if it be deemed necessary, I will treat any one of them as another. Male, female - I do not recognise the difference.'

`Then you would happily go down there now and fuck our little Bambi, is that what you are saying?'

`Happily?' Boolik raised his eyebrows, emphasising the curious shape of his eyes. `That is another matter, but, as you ask, yes, I would go down there and do whatever might be necessary, even to lowering myself down close to their base, animal instincts.'

`A noble sacrifice, Boolik,' Amaarini retorted. `Very noble indeed. Of course, I do appreciate that there would be no gratification in such an act, not for one such as you.'

`Lady,' Boolik said, through clenched teeth, `your sense of humour leaves much to be desired. Yes, I confess that there is a certain ... something? ... which I can enjoy from teaching these creatures their true station, but I should far rather take my pleasure with one of our own kind, preferably a female with whom I felt at least some semblance of symbiosis.'

`Of course, of course,' Amaarini said. `Forgive me, Boolik, but teasing you is too easy.' She turned away from the screens at last. `No,' she said, `we'll leave such things to the grooms for now. They, at least, enjoy it and need no urging. However, I may need your assistance on a little experiment I am planning.

`Our cute little Bambi, as you are aware, was, until a short while ago, the very singular Mr Andrew Lachan and we also have little Tammy to consider. Both humans, both born male and both now looking like the woman of their previous dreams.

`Neither is coming to terms with "her" new identity, which is hardly surprising, even for humans. Therefore, we need a way of undermining their resolve and I think I have one.'

`And my part in this?'

`Later, Boolik, later,' Amaarini smiled. `For now, I think I shall just organise some different stabling arrangements, which I would like you to effect with the grooms. I do not wish either of them to experience another female presence just yet, you see.

`So, if you would be so good as to go below and give my instructions to Higgy, who is probably the best of the grooms to deal with this, I shall be pleased to entertain you to an excellent dinner in my quarters this evening.'
