LATEST NEWS
This page is where I'm posting all my news (the page title says it all) - new book releases, any additions to my stories in here, anything I happen across elsewhere on the web that I think might interest you ... and so on an so forth.
For instance, I've posted several stories in Crystal's Story Site (www.storysite.org ) that don't appear in these pages and for those of you who've not been there, you've been missing as much as I had, until a friend put me on to it.
Yes, I know I showed this on the previous page, but it's my firstest ever award, so I'm gonna milk it for all it's worth, okay? Thanks to Edith Bellamy for her kind comments and there's a link to the Pink Gladiolas site in my links page (where else?)
FEBRUARY 2001 - BUYING MY BOOKS ON LINE - I've had so many e-mails asking where you can buy my books, I decided to sort out something to make it easier. If you click on the little image just below, a new browser page will open, from which you can access the search engines at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
I don't want to appear nationalistic, but currently the Amazon UK catalogue is better for finding my books, with seven or eight of them listed there, now that they've finally sorted the correct listings and details for them! Both Amazon sites offer YOU a handy discount on books and other stuff and, if you bookmark my access page for further visits to them, you'll be helping me fund the expanded version of this website that will be appearing quite soon now.
(CLICKING ON THIS IMAGE WILL OPEN A NEW BROWSER PAGE THAT WILL ROUTE YOU INTO THE VARIOUS AMAZON PAGES)
JANUARY 2001 - A new heroine in a new series. Some of you may already have read my original first draft of the first third(ish) of Teena, in the Story Portal site (if you haven't, then by the time you're reading this I'll have posted it in this site, too (click on the BOOKS link on the left). Well, I'm now happy to announce that Teena is set to appear in her first full length novel in July this year and a second book is already planned for January 2002. There are also further plans afoot for a graphic novel and an animated film featuring our lass and I'll announce further details as and when they're available.
JANUARY 2001 - Update news on Possecats (see details below) ... I've had to put on hold my plans for writing and posting the third episode in this story, as one publisher is now considering buying the rights for it as the first novel in a new series. Sadly, if it is accepted, that will mean that I shan't be able to post any more freebie instalments, but for those of you who have been following it so far, I'll announce details of where and when it will be available eventually.
DECEMBER 2000 - I've just posted the first instalment of a brand new serial story. If you click on the STORIES link at the left, you'll see the relevant link to it at the top of the pile.
NOVEMBER 2000 - There are several new stories now in my STORIES section (where else?), all posted since September 2000 and a few more that I shall be adding, even though they have been available in other sites before now.
OCTOBER 2000 - I've also added another feature here, by a "friend" of mine called Squaw. Go here and I'll introduce her to you all and then you can follow her on your own. (For those of you who've been here a few times, Squaw has been having a sabbatical during the autumn, as she doesn't like all this English rain, but she will be adding more thoughts to this section early in 2001.)
ATTENTION ALL WRITERS!
Some of you may recall that I was intending to start a Writers Workshop, once time etc permitted. Well, it's now kicking off, but there wasn't room for it in this site, so I had to find a home for it. I could put the link up here, but the bandwidth available is a bit tight, so I won't waste your time and that bandwidth by linking directly. Besides, I'm curious to know just how many of you are interested in this anyway!
So, if you are seriously interested, just drop me a line at
and I will let you have the URL. There are no fees, no sign-ups, no subscriptions - the Workshop is completely free and intended to help budding writers improve what they're doing and also to help each other. Everything is explained in the Workshop site in greater detail, so mail me straight away and you can go and have a look for yourself, can't you?
(Your e-mail address will NOT be passed to any other site or organisation.)
BOOTED AND SUITED ("POSSECATS")
Many of you may already know this bit of news, but, for those of you who don't ...
The very first instalment of Booted and Suited, which appears here in this site, was originally intended to be a one-off short story, which I offerd to a friend, Terri-Ann Walker, for publication in her own web site. Such was the response from readers that I was persuaded to try to turn it into a longer story and began writing further episodes.
A combination of work pressures and the fact that I couldn't think of how it was going to end up (yes, that sometimes happens) meant that it ground to a halt several months back now, but a little while ago now, a friend of mine from Kiwiland, Prue Walker (no relation to Terri-Ann and about 13,000 miles away) gave me a very neat idea for a different story, concerning a hat.
That, too, was intended to be a single short story, but ...
As I was happily chugging along, writing it, certain similarities between it and Booted and Suited struck me and then the liddle story imps started going to work inside my head. About two minutes later, all the liddle light bulbs started flashing and I realised I could intertwine the two stories to make one big one - and when I say big, I do mean BIG.
The first chunk of the new epic is now completed and posted in Crystal's Storysite under the title Possecats. Further instalments will be forthcoming, depending upon my book schedules over the next months, but I envisage the final, completed work being around 125,000 words at least.
DECEMBER 2000 - Thought I should update you about Possecats. The second instalment is now available in Crystal's Storysite ( www.storysite.org ).
BOOK NEWS
Well, I FINALLY finished writing this one, which is now going to be the first volume of a two-parter. It's also a bit thicker than the usual, so you get plenty of value for your money, honey! If you can't find shops local to you that stock my books, try www.amazon.com (search using Jennifer J Pope) or else you can use www.amazon.co.uk (search using Jennifer Jane Pope). Why they differ, I couldn't tell you. Oh yes, Barnes and Noble ( www.bn.com ) also have my stuff listed.
Slave Revelations, the third book in the series that started with Slave Genesis, is now finished and with the editor. I'm not sure, but I think the release date is set for June 2001. Meanwhile, in case you missed it, Slave Exodus was released on 7 December 2000. Full details are in my BOOKS section.
UPDATE, 17 DECEMBER, 2000 - USA stores carrying my titles, both the Chimera and the Nexus ones, include Walden's and Border's, plus a whole lot of smaller independents. Barnes and Noble stores will hopefully soon have them available too and in the meantime they do sell them via their website.
Meantime, as the number of hits on this site has now climbed past the 67,000 mark, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for visiting, for buying my books and for taking the time and trouble to write to me to let me know what you think of my efforts, especially the girls in Crystal's Chatroom, who give me so much inspiration - and fun!
I hope you've all been entertained as much as I have - and will continue to be so.
Jenny
